Don and Polly Peters' powerful father-daughter team boasts more than 40 years of combined experience.

    Donald S. Peters, Chairman of the Board and Portfolio Manager

Don Peters is a graduate of Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics. While at Emporia State, Don was recognized as the top student in the business department. Don is also a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to forming Central Plains Advisors, Inc., Don Peters spent 23 years as Senior Vice President and Economist for Bank IV in Wichita, Kansas. He supervised the investment decisions for more than $1.5 billion in assets. As Senior Partner in the Wichita firm of Peters, Gamm, West & Vincent, Don managed more than $1 billion in assets. In 1990, Don retired from PGWV after signing a non-compete contract as it pertained to institutional accounts; this contract recently expired. Don began managing bonds for Central Plains Advisors, Inc. on January 1, 1991 and took over as owner and CEO in 1998. As Chief Economic Strategist, Don will use the same methods on individual clients’ assets that he used when managing multi-million dollar institutional assets.

    Polly B. Peters, President and Portfolio Manager

With a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Kansas Sate University, Polly never expected to follow her father’s footsteps into the financial world. After earning considerable experience in sales from 1981-1992, Polly owned her own company from 1992-1996. She soon developed a desire to move on, but wasn’t sure where to turn. Don requested that she come work for him. She took and passed her Series 65 in 1996. Since that time, Polly has shown a natural flair for the financial market and has learned rapidly under Don’s tutelage She has earned his confidence in every area of the business. Don and Polly currently share all management responsibilities for Central Plains Advisors, Inc. They are the only two stockholders.
